How does the 200-Point Score Improvement Guarantee work?

 Here's how it works:

  1. Take an official SAT or PSAT before your course starts.
    It's okay if your score hasn't been released yet, as long as you took the test before the course start date. If you use a PSAT score as your starting score, we will convert it to an SAT score using this table. If you have taken more than one official SAT or PSAT before your course, we will use the score from the test taken immediately before your course start date.
    • Starting score of 1250 or below: We guarantee a 200-point increase.
    • Starting score of 1260–1440: We guarantee improvement up to a score of 1450.
    • Starting score of 1450 or above: The 200-Point Score Improvement Guarantee does not apply.
  2. Complete all course requirements.
    To remain eligible for the guarantee, students must complete the course requirements, including:
    • Attend at least 80% of classes and remain in each qualifying class for at least 80% of the class.
    • Use the same Zoom account throughout the course and answer at least 80% of instructor poll questions.
    • Complete at least 90% of homework assignments on time and in full.
    • Complete 100% of assigned practice tests on time and in full. Each practice test must be completed within a total window of no more than six hours.
    • Make a good-faith effort on all required assignments and practice tests.
    • Complete all required payments for the course.
  3. Take an official SAT after your course ends.
    Students must take an official SAT administered by the College Board within 60 days of the final class or on the next available SAT test date. The first official SAT (not a PSAT) taken after the final class will be used to determine whether the guarantee was met.

The 200-Point Score Improvement Guarantee applies only to the first eligible course a student enrolls in and may only be used once per student.

If you do not take an official SAT or PSAT before the course begins, you will not be eligible for the guarantee.

Courses enrolled in through Unlimited Prep do not include a Score Improvement Guarantee.

What if I don't meet the guaranteed score improvement?
If you have completed all eligibility requirements but did not achieve the guaranteed score improvement, you can submit a Score Improvement Guarantee request form here.

Submitting the form does not automatically guarantee approval. Your course participation and eligibility will be reviewed to confirm that all Score Improvement Guarantee requirements were met.
